NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Harvard came home with a sixth place performance at the MacDonald Cup, hosted by Yale this weekend.
With 36 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday, the tournament was played despite consistent rain in the area. The Harvard score of 292-284-288-864 was 28 strokes better than the previous year and set a new standard for Harvard at the MacDonald Cup.
Using its tricky home course as an advantage, Yale fired a historic low six-under 274 in the final round for a come-from-behind victory over Iowa State by three strokes.
Tony Grillo led Harvard with a 12th place finish with a three-over tournament final of 213 (72-69-72).
