No. 2 Men’s Fencing Defends Homestand Against NYU

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The No. 2 Harvard men's fencing team toppled NYU 23-4 in the final home contest of the season. The foil squad of Geoffrey Tourette, Duncan Rheingans-Yoo, George Haglund and Matt Branman dominated the field, posting a perfect 9-0 to clinch a Crimson victory. 

Harvard Highlights

  • Sophomore foil fencer Geoffrey Tourette led the Crimson tallying the highest touch differential on the day of +11, with three victories moving to 14-0 on the season.
  • Sabre first-year fencer Daniel Solomon swept his NYU opponents while recording a +8 touch differential. Solomon continues to lead Harvard with 24 victories.
  • In Epee, Albert Chien captured all three wins over NYU and established a +7 touch differential.
