No. 4 Men’s Lightweight Crew Medals in Varsity Eight at IRAs

PRINCETON, N.J. – Medaling at IRAs for the first time since 2015, No. 4 men's lightweight crew tallied a third place finish for the bronze medal on Sunday at Mercer Lake.

The varsity eight held off Penn, Navy and Yale for the bronze medal, stopping the clock with a time of 6:24.255, 1.9 seconds ahead of Penn for third. The Crimson crossed the line just behind Columbia and Princeton, earning its first third place finish since 2015.

The Crimson varsity fours were scheduled to race in the grand finals later on Sunday, but the races were cancelled due to weather.

The IRAs wrapped up the 2017-18 campaign for men's lightweight crew.
