  • Men’s and Women’s Heavyweight, Women’s Lightweight Crew Well Represented at World Rowing U23 Championships

    Harvard was well represented at the 2019 World Rowing Under-23 Championships at the end of July in Sarasota, Florida. Five members of men’s heavyweight crew competed for their home countries, while Radcliffe heavyweight and lightweight crew each had two rowers participate in The Sunshine State.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – College sports’ oldest rivals and the top two finishing crews in the varsity grand finals of the Eastern Sprints take part in their 154th head-to-head clash at the Harvard-Yale Regatta this Saturday, June 8 on the Thames River. Yale is looking for its fourth-straight win over Harvard for the first time since a five-peat by the Crimson from 1964-69. Harvard is looking to spoil Yale's perfect record and win for the 15th time over the last 20 years.

    GOLD RIVER, Calif. – Concluding racing at the three-day regatta, No. 4 Harvard men’s heavyweight crew earned a bronze medal in its varsity eight race at the IRA National Championships today, June 3. The Crimson’s second varsity eight boat placed third as well, while the third varsity eight placed fourth in its grand final. The varsity fours posted a fifth-place finish in its petite final race.

  • Five Harvard Athletes Selected for Rowing World Championships

    US Rowing announced earlier this week a group of 35 athletes, including five from Harvard, who will represent Team USA at the 2018 World Rowing Championships September 8-16 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The athletes were chosen from a competitive group at the 2018 Senior National Team selection camps with the men’s training center based in Oakland, Calif. and the women’s training center located in Princeton, N.J.
