CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 3 Harvard heavyweights will travel south for the second-straight weekend, as the Crimson is set to race No. 10 Penn and No. 13 Navy in the Adams Cup on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia Saturday morning. Harvard will then head to Lake Carnegie in Princeton, New Jersey to take on No. 17 Cornell in the afternoon.

The Crimson was originally slated to race the Big Red and George Washington April 1, but it was postponed due to weather.

The events will not be streamed.

Scouting No. 10 Penn
The Quakers are coming off a second-place showing in the Blackwell Cup against Yale and Columbia. The Bulldogs took first in the varsity eight. Geoff Bond is in his second year as head coach of the Quakers.

Scouting No. 13 Navy
The Midshipmen swept Syracuse and Cornell, winning the Goes Trophy and Stagg Cup in Ithaca, New York. Rob Friedrich is in the midst of his fifth season leading Navy as the head coach.

Scouting No. 17 Cornell
The Big Red's first varsity eight finished third against Navy and Syracuse at the Goes Trophy and Stagg Cup last week. In his ninth year as heavyweight coach, Todd Kennett previously served as head men's lightweight coach at Cornell for 10 seasons. 

Series Results
The first Adams Cup was held in 1928, and Harvard controls the all-time series, 53-13 (Navy)-14 (Penn). The Crimson has won 17-straight Adams Cup events.

In the Launch
Charley Butt, the Bolles-Parker Head Coach for Harvard Men's Heavyweight Crew, begins his 32nd season with the Harvard rowing program and fourth with the heavyweight men in 2017. Butt owns a 23-3 record in duals race as the heavyweight coach. 

Last Year
Harvard went 7-1 last season and placed fourth at the Eastern Sprints and third at the IRA National Championships.
