Men’s Heavyweight 2V Takes Second at Henley Royal Regatta

Henley-on-Thames – The Harvard men's heavyweight crew second varsity eight completed an impressive season with a second-place showing in the Temple Challenge Cup at the 2016 Henley Royal Regatta over the weekend.

The Crimson was upended by Oxford Brookes University in the final by 3 ¼ lengths. In the semifinals, Harvard bested California by a length. The Crimson also bested the University of London (2/3 of a length), St. Petersburg, Russia (2 ¼ lengths) and Michigan (3 ¾ lengths) in the heats.

The second varsity was undefeated in the U.S. this season, winning the Eastern Sprints and IRA National titles and defeating Yale in the 151st Race.
