Four Oarsmen Qualify for 2016 Olympics

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Four Harvard heavyweight and lightweight crew standouts have qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Three will represent the United States of America, while one will row with South Africa.

Heavyweight rower Vincent Breet earned a spot in the coxless four boat for South Africa at the Final Olympic Qualification Regatta. At the same race, Mike DiSanto '12 raced for the USA in the men's eight and will be in Brazil. Henrik Rummel '09 will competed in his second Olympic games after qualifying with the USA coxless four.

On the lightweight side, Andrew Campbell '14 will be in the lightweight men's double.

Charlie Risbey '15, James Medway '15 and Josh Hicks '13 raced in the Australian eight against DiSanto and the USA, but did not qualify for the 2016 Olympics.
