Men’s Heavyweight, Lightweight Crew Place 19 on IRA All-Academic Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Nineteen (19) members of the Harvard men's heavyweight and lightweight crew teams earned Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) All-Academic distinction, as announced by the IRA Board of Stewards.

From the heavyweight squad, Josh Bernstein, Pat Dowling, Rory Glover, Will Hakim, Achim Harzheim, Jessi Izhakoff, Nick Jaroszewicz, Peter Lehner, Alex Uruchurtu, Andrew Reed, Jeff Rogers, Craig Slater and Eric Slater were honored.

Six from the lightweight crew – Alexander Bonorris, Shane Bouchard, Andrew Campbell, Samuel Frum, Ian Klein, Alexander Newell – were recognized.

For a student-athlete to be eligible, he must be at least a sophomore in standing and completed one full year at his respective institution; maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.35 or higher; earned an institutional letter; and competed at the 2014 Intercollegiate Rowing Association Regatta.
