BERKELEY, Calif. – Harvard men's basketball forwards Chris Lewis and Chris Ledlum have earned Ivy League weekly honors, the conference office announced today. Lewis is the Ivy Player of the Week with Ledlum collecting his third Ivy Rookie-of-the-Week accolade.
The duo helped the Crimson defeat California on the road Sunday afternoon, 71-63, marking its fourth consecutive victory and its second win over a Power-5 school this season.
Lewis enjoyed a perfect shooting game against the Golden Bears, going 7-for-7 from the field and 5-for-5 from the free-throw line. The senior finished with a game-high 19 points and a career-high-tying four blocked shots en route to picking up Harvard's second Ivy League Player-of-the-Week award of 2019-20.
Ledlum, meanwhile, earned his conference rookie-of-the-week nod after finishing with five points on 2-of-4 shooting at California and two rebounds in 10 minutes of action. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Ledlum knocked down a free throw to help spur a 7-0 run after the Golden Bears closed to within seven points with 11:22 to go in the second half.
Lewis and Ledlum return to action with their Harvard teammates on Monday when they play at San Francisco. The non-conference game is slated for 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT and will air on the WCC Network.
