Kirkwood Ties Program Record with Sixth Ivy League Rookie of the Week Award

PRINCETON, N.J. – Capturing his third-straight win and his program record-tying sixth this season, first-year guard Noah Kirkwood has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for Feb. 25-March 3. He ties the program standard of six set by Siyani Chambers in 2012-13 and Dan Clemente in 1997-98.

Kirkwood averaged 10.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game over the weekend, helping Harvard to a sweep over Penn (59-53) and Princeton (66-58). The Ottawa, Ontario native tallied his first-career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds against the Quakers, and added nine points and four rebounds vs. the Tigers. Harvard held its opponents to a league-best 55.5 points per game on the weekend.

Kirkwood helped the Crimson to a season sweep over both Penn and Princeton, and Harvard posted a 6-0 record this season against Penn, Princeton and Yale for the first time in program history. His sixth win ties him for sixth place all-time in Ivy League history.

Harvard closes the regular season March 8-9 at Cornell and Columbia, with both games set to air on ESPN+.
