PRINCETON, N.J. – Continuing his strong play during the Ivy League campaign, first-year guard Noah Kirkwood has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for Feb. 18-24. The honor is his fifth this season, which ties him for 13th all-time in Ivy League history. He is one award shy of tying the program standard set by Siyani Chambers in 2012-13 and Dan Clemente in 1997-98.
Kirkwood contributed across the board with 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game on the weekend, including a win over first-place Yale on Saturday. He had career-highs across the board Friday at Brown, nearing a triple-double with 28 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, and followed it up with five points, eight rebounds and three assists at Yale.
Kirkwood is averaging 10.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game this season, the former of which leads all first-year players in the Ivy League. The Ottawa, Ontario native and the Crimson welcome Penn on ESPNU and Princeton on ESPN+ and Westwood One radio this weekend, March 1-2.
