CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Hearing his name called with the four-team expansion of the NBA G-League, former Harvard forward Kyle Casey was selected by the Wisconsin Herd in the 2017 NBA G League Expansion Draft. The Herd are the G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Casey had previously played in the G League, formerly the NBA Development League, during the 2015-16 season with the Bakersfield Jam, where he averaged 8.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Casey also saw time during the NBA preseason with the Phoenix Suns. Last season, Casey played for Helios Domzale in Slovenia, where he posted per game averages of 8.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
A four-time All-Ivy League honoree, including one selection to the first team, Casey ranks in the top 15 in program history in points (1,242) and rebounds (654), while blocking the fifth-most shots (127). He helped lead the Crimson to three Ivy League championships.
