CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the third-straight week, freshman Seth Towns of the Harvard men's basketball team has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
The Columbus, Ohio product averaged 17.5 points and 5.5 rebounds over the weekend. Towns posted a new career high with 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting at Princeton, leading the team with eight rebounds. The 26 points included two highlight-reel dunks, including one to knot the game late.
This marks the fourth weekly honor for Towns and the seventh time a rookie has earned the distinction this year.
Harvard will take part in the inaugural Ivy League tournament Saturday, March 11, facing Yale at 4 p.m. on ESPNU.
