CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Bryce Aiken of the Harvard men's basketball team has been honored as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

The freshman led the Crimson to a 57-56 win over Houston, matching his career best with 21 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-7 from behind the arc. Harvard became the first team to defeat the Cougars at home, as Aiken scored eight points over the final 6:21, helping to turn a nine-point deficit into a one-point win.

This is the first weekly award for Aiken, who joins classmate Seth Towns as Ancient Eight weekly award winners this year.

Harvard will be back in action Friday, Dec. 30 against Howard at Lavietes Pavilion.
