SHANGHAI, China – The Harvard men's basketball team defeated Shanghai Jiao Tong University, 84-64, in its final exhibition before the start of the season Friday against Stanford at 11 p.m. ET in Shanghai, China.
The Crimson was led by 17 points by sophomore Corey Johnson, who went 5-of-7 from three. Senior Zena Edosomwan (13), junior Chris Egi (12) and freshman Bryce Aiken (11) rounded out the double-figure scoring. Senior captain Siyani Chambers dished out 13 of the team's 20 assists on the night, as the Crimson shot over 50 percent from the field.
Jiang X Y and Xiao B led SJTU with 16 points apiece.
Harvard was led by 46 points in the paint and earned 37 points off 25 forced turnovers, while committing just nine.
The Crimson will be back in action against Stanford Friday. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
