Harvard Draws Utah in Battle 4 Atlantis Opening Game

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – The Harvard men's basketball team has drawn the Utah Utes in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis in an announcement made by the organizing committee late Friday afternoon. The tournament will take place November 23-26 at the Atlantis Resort.
Harvard and Utah will be the final game Nov. 24 with the teams tipping off at 9:30 p.m.
Other first round games will see Central Florida play the College of Charleston (2 p.m.), Florida State-Massachusetts (4:30 p.m.) and Connecticut-UNC Asheville (7 p.m.).
Harvard and Utah are on the same side of the bracket as Connecticut, which the Crimson is scheduled to play already on Dec. 8, and UNC Ashville. The first round winners will play Nov. 25 at 4:30 p.m. while the losers will play at 9:30 p.m. on the 25th.
A complete television schedule will be released at a later date.
Utah returns two starters and just four letterwinners from a team that posted a 13-18 overall record and a 6-10 mark in the Mountain West Conference. With 11 newcomers, the team will look to senior guard Josh Watkins (14.9 ppg) and 7-foot-3 senior center David Foster (2.9 ppg, 3.2 bpg).
Harvard returns all five starters from a team that went 23-7 in 2010-11 while posting a perfect 14-0 home record and claiming a share of the Ivy League title with a 12-2 record.
