CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the third time this season, sophomore goalkeeper Ellie Shahbo earned Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week honors, the conference announced today (Oct. 21).

Shahbo recorded two shutouts this week, helping No. 14 Harvard field hockey to wins against UMass-Lowell (4-0) and Cornell (2-0). Shahbo made four saves against the River Hawks and another four saves in the win at Cornell.

The Cornelius, N.C., native leads the Ivy League with a 0.93 goals-against average and .798 save percentage. She is 10-2 on the season and has allowed one goal or less in five straight starts.

Harvard has a key Ivy League showdown against No. 8 Princeton on Saturday (Oct. 26) at 12 p.m. on ESPN+.
