CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior forward Bente van Vlijmen was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced.

Van Vlijmen scored twice in Harvard's 4-1 win over Maine on Sunday (Sept. 22). With Harvard holding a one goal lead late in the fourth quarter, van Vlijmen scored her first goal of the season with 3:55 to play, as her penalty corner deflected off a Maine defender and into the net. Just over two minutes later, her second consecutive penalty corner attempt hit the bottom board to seal the win for the Crimson.

For van Vlijmen, it was her seventh career multiple-goal game and her 34th career goal, third all-time on the school scoring list.

Harvard, the defending Ivy League champions, will open up Ivy League play on Saturday (Sept. 28) with a road contest at Yale, beginning at noon. The game will air on ESPN+.
