Junior Maddie Earle had a stellar weekend for Harvard in wins against Yale and No. 18 Maine.
CAMBRIDGE. Mass. -- Junior forward Maddie Earle earned Longstreth/NFHCA National Offensive Player of the Week honors after totaling four goals last weekend, including her first career hat trick in a 4-1 win at No. 18 Maine. In the Crimson's Ivy opener on Friday night, Earle's second half goal helped Harvard earn a 6-0 win over the Bulldogs. On Sunday, Earle recorded a career high three goals, in Harvard's 4-1 win over the Black Bears.
Earle is second on the team with 14 points (six goals, two assists) this season. Earle (Offensive Player of the Week) and freshman goalkeeper Ellie Shahbo (Defensive Player of the Week) swept the Ivy League weekly awards as well.
Harvard will continue Ivy League play at Penn this Saturday (Sept. 29) before returning home the next day (Sept. 30) to host Bryant at 2 p.m. Both games will air on ESPN+.
