Five From Field Hockey Named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –
Five members of the Harvard field hockey team were named to the 2017 Zag Field Hockey / NFHCA Division 1 Scholars of Distinction list.

Freshman Amy Brooke, senior Ellie Cookson, junior Emily Duarte, sophomore Olivia Ostrover, and freshman Mimi Tarrant all were named Scholars of Distinction.

The Division I Scholars of Distinction program recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2017-18 academic year.

Earlier this week, the field hockey team was recognized as one of the top academic teams in the nation. Harvard had the No. 3 team GPA (3.63) in the nation among all Division I field hockey programs. Harvard is one of 75 Division programs that earned the 2017 Zag Field Hockey / NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award for having a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
