CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard field hockey (7-6, 2-3 Ivy) will return to the pitch at Harvard Field Hockey Stadium Wednesday evening, hosting No. 17 Boston University (11-5, 6-0 Patriot) at 6 p.m. Fans can watch the game live on the Ivy League Digital Network.

Scouting Harvard
The Crimson will look to right the ship on Wednesday and snap its current three-game losing skid. This past Saturday, Harvard led No. 20 Princeton for 58 minutes, but the Tigers converted on a pair of penalty corner attempts in the late minutes of the game to secure the win.

The loss dropped Harvard to 7-6 overall and 2-3 in the Ivy League, placing it in a tie for fourth with Dartmouth and Columbia in the Ivy standings. The Crimson will host Dartmouth Saturday, Oct. 31 and play at Columbia Sunday, Nov. 8 in the season finale.

Front Line Strength
Scoring for the Crimson this season has come from three familiar names. Junior Marissa Balleza is leading the Crimson in scoring for the third-straight season with 10 goals, and has a team-best 24 points. Senior Elizabeth Jacobson is putting the finishing touches on a brilliant career for Harvard, scoring a career-best eight goals and 20 points, and freshman Kathleen Young has four tallies and two helpers for 10 points. The trio has combined to account for 54 of Harvard's 73 points this year.

Series History vs. Boston University
The Terriers have the edge in the all-time series, posting a record of 17-12-1. Harvard won the first five meetings in the series from 1975-1983, but recent times have favored BU, as the Terriers have been victorious in the last six meetings. Harvard's last win in the series came Oct. 27, 2004, a 3-1 win on the road.

Scouting Boston University
The Terriers secured their first Patriot League regular season title over the weekend, breezing past Bucknell, 6-0. Senior co-captain Rachel Coll potted two goals in the game to help BU secure an unblemished 6-0 record in the Patriot League, securing home field advantage for the conference tournament in two weeks.

Also scoring in the game against Bucknell was Sofi Laurito, giving her a team-best nine goals on the year. Laurito's 19 points is second only to Bea Baumberger Altirriba, whose Patriot League-leading 14 assists have propelled her to 24 points. Cammy Jensen has a sub-2.00 goals-against average at 1.77 to go with a .659 save percentage.
