CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Kyle Juszczyk '13, an alumnus of the Harvard football program and a current member of the San Francisco 49ers, was selected for the 2020 Pro Bowl, the National Football League announced Tuesday.
The selection marks the fourth straight for the 49er fullback, who was a three-time All-Ivy League selection at running back for the Crimson. Hailing from Medina, Ohio, Juszczyk has played in 10 San Francisco games this season, racking up 18 receptions for 167 yards and a touchdown. He has helped the team to an 11-3 record, tied for the NFC West lead with the Seattle Seahawks.
Matt Birk '98 (six selections) is the only other Harvard alumnus to compete in the NFL's all-star game. Juszczyk will be joined by three 49er teammates in the contest: defensive lineman Nick Bosa, tight end George Kittle and cornerback Richard Sherman.
The game will be hosted in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, Jan. 26, and televised on ESPN.
