CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard football had two of its games selected by ESPN for the network's 2019 television broadcast schedule, the Ivy League and ESPN announced today. The two contests are part of a seven-game Ivy League package, which is the most in the FCS, with the Worldwide Leader in Sports.
The Crimson will kick-off the Ivy League-ESPN partnership this season on Friday, Sept. 27, when it plays host to Brown inside Harvard Stadium. The conference opener, which was originally scheduled for ESPN+ on Saturday, Sept. 28, will air on ESPNEWS at 7 p.m.
Harvard's second ESPN linear television appearance of 2019 will wrap up the Ivy package on Saturday, Nov. 23, when it visits Yale for the 136th playing of The Game. Television coverage and kick time will be announced at a later date.
The League will kick off the 2019 campaign with the 2019 Ivy League Football Media Day on Thursday, Aug. 15, at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn.
The Crimson's game vs. Penn, meanwhile, will air live on NESN on Saturday, Nov. 16. Start time for the Senior Day clash with the Quakers is slated for noon.
Harvard is coming off a 2018 campaign that saw it finish with three consecutive victories, including a 45-27 victory over Yale in the 135th playing of The Game, en route to a 6-4 overall record.
