CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Charlie Booker III ran six times for 93 yards, and Tom Stewart completed 7-of-10 passes for 118 yards and two touchdowtns, as the Crimson defeated the White, 40-0, at the annual Harvard football spring game held at Harvard Stadium Saturday evening.
On the second play of the game, Booker ran down the right side for a 56-yard gain, putting the Crimson in the red zone. Jake Smith found Adam West for a four-yard TD strike a few plays later to give the Crimson a 6-0 lead.
With 1:25 left in the first, Stewart connected with Cecil Williams II for a 19-yard touchdown. Jake McIntyre added an extra point to make it 13-0 in favor of the Crimson.
In the second, Devin Darrington added a two-yard rush for a score, and McIntyre nailed his second PAT to make it 20-0 Crimson. Moments later, B.J. Watson dashed for a 20-yard touchdown, as the Crimson upped its lead to 27-0. With four minutes left in the half, Stewart threw a long pass down the right sideline, finding Brian Dunlap for a 35-yard score, 34-0.
Harvard will open the 2018 season by hosting San Diego Saturday, Sept. 15 at 12 p.m.
