Lee, Benson Earn Gold Helmets in Week Six

Tanner Lee of Harvard and Andrew Benson of Assumption earned the Gold Helmet Awards for week six (Athletic Communications).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Tanner Lee of Harvard and Andrew Benson of Assumption have been awarded New England Football Writers' Association Gold Helmets, sponsored by the Jack Grinold Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation, after leading their respective teams to victory on October 7-8.

In his first-career start, Tanner Lee had a two-interception performance that assisted the Crimson to a 29-13 win over Cornell Lee recorded his second career interception in the second quarter to stop a Cornell drive at the Harvard 16-yard line. His second pick came in the end zone during the third quarter, sullying the Big Red's attempt to come within a score.

Andrew Benson, a senior defensive back, tallied seven tackles, recovered a fumble and blocked a punt to lead the Greyhounds to a 42-7 victory over Bentley. Additionally, he returned an interception 30 yards for his first career touchdown, while also returning a punt for 30 yards in the contest.
