PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior quarterback Joe Viviano has been named the Ivy League Co-Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
The award is the first of Viviano's career and the first weekly award for the Crimson this season.
The Berwyn, Pennsylvania native put on a passing clinic in the first half of Friday's game against Georgetown. Viviano completed 15-of-21 attempts for 210 yards and three touchdowns, all before halftime. His efforts helped Harvard to a 24-7 lead at the break and set the stage for the 31-17 final score.
On the year, Viviano is 56-of-84 (66.7 percent) for 705 yards, six touchdowns and zero interceptions. He has the Crimson at 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the Ivy League with Cornell set to come to town Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest that can be seen live on One World Sports and the Ivy League Digital Network.
