16 Football Players Named to College Sport Madness All-Ivy Teams

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Five Harvard football players have been named to the College Sports Madness All-Ivy League Preseason First Team and Tim Murphy, The Thomas Stephenson Family Head Coach for Harvard Football, was named the preseason Coach of the Year, it was announced.

Freshman Justice Shelton-Mosely was selected as preseason Freshman of the Year. Paul Stanton, Jr., Andrew Fischer and Anthony Firkser were named to the preseason offensive first team, while Eric Medes and Sean Ahern were picked for the preseason defensive first team.

Listed on the second team were Anthony Fabiano, Adam Redmond, James Duberg, Jacob Lindsey and Fischer as both a kick returner and punt returner. On the third team were Scott Hosch, Seitu Smith, Cole Toner, Matt Koran and Chris Evans.

The Crimson posted its 17th perfect season in 2014, going 10-0 overall and 7-0 in conference play to capture its 16th Ivy League title, including its eighth under Murphy. The Crimson also defeated Yale for a program-record eighth-straight time.
