The Harvard football team and the New England Patriots teamed up with AccesSport America on May 2 to host a football skills clinic at Harvard's Jordan Field. AccesSport America is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to bringing high-challenge sports and fitness to both children and adults with disabilities.
Those in attendance had an opportunity to participate in a number of stations designed to teach the fundamentals of football. Drills included a handoff exercise, speed ladder drill, a punt pass and kick competition as well as tackling drills.
2012 Harvard football captain Bobby Schneider helped to spearhead the event with the help of Alex Gedeon, Mathew Hanson, Kyle Juszczyk, Treavor Scales, Jonathan Mason, Reid McCann as well as others. The members of the Crimson football team were joined by New England Patriot players Ryan Mallet, Zoltan Mesko and Alex Silvestro.
