Harvard's Zach Boden Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Harvard freshman running back Zach Boden has been named as the Ivy League's Rookie of the Week following the Crimson's 31-3 win at Lafayette Saturday afternoon at Fisher Stadium in Easton, Pa.

Boden becomes the second consecutive Harvard player to earn top rookie honors after defensive end Zach Hodges earned the honor last week against Brown.

Boden ran for a modest 55 yards against the Leopards but ripped off a highlight-reel 43-yard touchdown run for his first career score late in the game. He also had a 17-yard catch for 72 yards of total offense in the game.

Despite Boden's surge, it was largely a defensive victory for the Crimson, which had nine different players record at least one tackle for a loss (10 for the game) with five sacks. Grant Sickle earned a spot on the Honor Roll for his performance, including two sacks and a forced fumble that set up an important touchdown at the end of the first half.

The Crimson returns to the road this week for a 12:30 p.m. game at Cornell.
