Baseball Adds Seven as Class of 2020

The group includes four pitchers, two infielders and one outfielder (Elan Kawesch).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Adding to a program that posted its most Ivy League wins since 2010, Bill Decker, The Joseph O'Donnell '67 Head Coach for Harvard Baseball, has announced seven incoming freshmen as the class of 2020. The group spans three states, with student-athletes joining the Crimson from California, Connecticut and Georgia.

"I am very enthused about the ability, character and promise of our incoming freshmen class.  I believe our staff has identified the current needs of our program from both a positional player and pitching standpoint," noted Decker.

"The expectation is that they will compete on a daily basis and create opportunities for themselves and our team so we can continue to make positive strides within the program.  I really like the competitive nature and work ethic of the class, and expect them to challenge for playing time and innings as we move through the fall and into the spring season."

Harvard baseball posted a 17-24 overall record last season, including a 9-11 mark in Ancient Eight play. The Crimson garnered four All-Ivy League selections in 2016.
