Baseball Falls to Georgia State, 9-3

ATLANTA, Ga. – Jeff Reynolds had a pair of hits including a home run but Harvard dropped a 9-3 decision to Georgia State Thursday evening at the Field at Panthersville.
Joey Wood homered and drove in four runs as Georgia State (15-4) won its sixth straight game. The Crimson falls to 1-10 on its southern swing entering a weekend series at Charlotte.
With the game tied 3-3 in the fifth inning, Wood belted his third homer of the season, a two-run shot to left center to put the Panthers ahead for good at 5-3.
GSU added another run in the fifth, three more in the sixth and one in the seventh to pull away from Joe Walsh's Crimson.
Jeff Hajdin walked to lead off the game, stole second and went to third on a single from Marcus Way. The duo then pulled off a double steal before Way came around on a single form Dillon O' Neill to give the Crimson an early lead. GSU answered immediately with two runs in its half of the inning before Reynolds gave the visitors a short-lived lead with a solo shot down the left field line to start the third inning.
Reynolds, O'Neill and Danny Moskovits all finished with two hits while Zach Olson threw a scoreless eighth for Harvard.
