Football Rises to No. 18 in AFCA Coaches Poll, No. 19 in Stats Perform Rankings

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football, one of two undefeated teams in the FCS, has climbed in both major FCS top-25 polls, which were released Monday morning. The Crimson rose one spot to No. 18 in the AFCA Coaches Poll and climbed two positions to No. 19 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll.

Harvard's ranking in the coaches poll is its highest since it was No. 16 in 2021, heading into its contest at Princeton. The Crimson's No. 19 ranking in the media poll, meanwhile, is its best since it 2015, when it was No. 19 heading into its final game of the season.

Harvard improved to 4-0 (2-0 Ivy League) on Friday after it defeated Ivy counterpart Cornell, 41-23, at Harvard Stadium. The Crimson and top-ranked South Dakota State (5-0) are the lone unbeaten teams in the country. Harvard, meanwhile, finds itself atop the conference standings, a half-game ahead of Princeton (2-2; 1-0 Ivy).

The rise in the national rankings comes on a morning in which Crimson quarterback Charles DePrima was named the FedEx Ground FCS National Offensive Player of the Week and the New England Football Writers/Grinold Chapter Gold Helmet recipient. The junior combined for six touchdowns (3 pass, 3 rush), while logging career highs in passing (209) and rushing yards (152).

No. 18/19 Harvard returns to action on Saturday when it welcomes Howard to Harvard Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m., with the contest airing live on ESPN+. Tickets for the non-conference finale are available at GoCrimson.com.
