Amanda Lin, Women's Tennis

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Amanda Lin of the women’s tennis team has been named the COOP Athlete of the Week for March 25.

Lin went 6-0 last week, posting identical 3-0 marks in both singles and doubles play. In the first match of the week, she teamed with Sylvia Li to defeat Diana Bukajeva and Jen Miller, 8-1, in second doubles before besting Jen Miller, 6-0, 6-3, at the No. 5 singles in a 5-2 win over Stetson. She followed up her performance with another doubles win with Li over Fanny Fracassi and Paula Montoya by another 8-1 score before rallying past Alessandra Bonte, 6-7 (6), 6-4, 6-4, in sixth singles in a 4-3 loss to the Bulls. In the final match of the week against Fairleigh Dickinson, the freshman teamed with Li for an 8-0 win over Dina Guzairova and Manuela Leme and knocked off Guzairova, 6-4, 6-1, at No. 4 singles.

On the year, Lin leads the team with an 18-3 record, including an 8-1 mark in the dual season. She also paces the team with 13 doubles wins with her partner Li.
