Cross Country Faces Local Foes at Brown Invitational
The Harvard men took second at the Brown Invitational

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. – The Harvard cross country
team took on a number of local talent Friday afternoon at the Brown
Invitational. The men's team turned in a second-place finish behind
the host Bears, while the women placed fifth in a field of seven
teams.
Freshman Paul Koullick led the men's effort with an eighth-place overall finish, turning in a time of 26:06.10 and sophomore Jakob Lindaas was right behind in ninth with a time of 26:12.60. Rookie Kellen Blumberg was the third Harvard finisher, crossing the line in 26:31.60 for 11th overall and senior Brian Hill placed 14th with a time of 26:52.30. Junior Darcy Wilson capped the Crimson finishers with a time of 27:35.10, good for 20th overall.
Junior Kristen Jorgensen fronted the women's team, finishing 13th overall with a time of 18:18.20. Senior Eliza Ives took 15th in 18:26.70 and freshman Morgan Kelly placed 22nd in 18:36.40. Junior Alison Lee (40th, 19:34.10) and rookie Aliana Murphy (41st, 19:35.50) rounded out the Crimson scorers.
Members of the cross country team are also in action tomorrow in Terre Haute, Ind., participating in the Pre-National meet.
