Cross Country Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors
Both the men's and women's cross country teams earned
All-Academic honors (Harvard Athletic Communications).
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Both the Harvard men’s and
women’s cross country teams received USTFCCCA All-Academic
Team honors, the organization announced Monday. The men’s
team is one of 135 Division I men’s programs to receive the
honor for the 2009 season, up from 110 in 2008, while the women are
one of 176 teams honored, up from 162 in 2008.
The honors mark the fourth consecutive year that both the men and
women have received All-Academic Team recognition. The Crimson also
had three members of the team attain USTFCCCA All-Academic status.
Sophomore Kailyn Kuzmuk and junior Claire Richardson of the
women’s team and junior Dan Chenoweth of the men’s team
earned the award for their efforts during the 2009 cross country
season.
For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team
award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA
Regional Championship and also have a minimum 3.00 team cumulative
GPA.
