Harvard Women Move to Third in Regional Rankings

The Harvard women’s cross country team moved into third in
the regional rankings and is also receiving votes in the U.S. Track
and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) top 30
poll.
Harvard jumped from seventh in Northeast rankings to third after a
12th-place finish at the Pre-Nationals Invitational last weekend.
The Crimson moved ahead of as crosstown foe Boston College as well
Stony Brook and Ivy League rivals Columbia and Cornell.
Junior Claire Richardson was the first of three top 50 finishes
for the Crimson at the Pre-Nationals. Richardson finished 31st
overall, just two spots ahead of sophomore Kailyn Kuzmuk. Freshman
Sammy Silva crossed the finish line 49th overall. All three ran
personal best for a 6,000 meter race.
Harvard returns to action Friday, Oct. 30 at the Heptagonal
Championships in New York City. The women race at 11:15 a.m.,
followed by the men at 12:15 p.m.
