Women's Water Polo Welcomes Four Newcomers for 2016 Season
The Harvard women's water polo team is set to welcome in four newcomers to the class of 2019, the Friends of Harvard Water Polo Head Coach Ted Minnis announced today. The Crimson will add Sam Acker, Nikki Daurio, Kristen Hong and Colby Stapleton for the 2016 season.

The Harvard women's water polo team presented its awards for the 2015 season at the team's end-of-the-year banquet Monday night the Murr Center’s Hall of History. Student-athletes, families and coaches of Harvard water polo gathered as five honors were handed out.

Minnis named CWPA Coach of the Year; Andersen, Hendrix, Dukes and Balding Named All-Conference
he Friends of Harvard Water Polo Head Coach Ted Minnis took home the 2015 CWPA Division I/II Coach of the Year, as announced by the conference Thursday. Four Harvard athletes garnered CWPA Division I/II All-Conference honors as well.

Women’s Water Polo Enters CWPA Championship as Four Seed
Harvard women’s water polo finished the 2015 regular season 19-11 overall and 6-3 in CWPA play, slotting the Crimson in at the No. 4-seed for this weekend’s CWPA Championships hosted by Princeton. Harvard will face off with No. 5-seed Hartwick, Friday, April 24 at 3 p.m.

No. 20 Women’s Water Polo Falls to No. 13 Princeton, Takes Down George Washington
No. 20 Harvard women's water polo ended its regular season Saturday, with games against No. 13 Princeton and George Washington. The Crimson dropped its game against the Tigers, 15-7, but rebounded to beat the Colonials 15-7.

No. 20 Women’s Water Polo Outlasts Brown, 7-6, In A Defensive Struggle
No. 20 Harvard women’s water polo hosted Brown Thursday night, in the final home match of the season. In a low scoring affair, Harvard was able to come out on top, 7-6, breaking a five-match losing streak against the Bears.

No. 20 Harvard women’s water polo closed out its three-game road trip Sunday, falling to No. 15 Michigan, 12-9. Michelle Martinelli led the way for the Crimson, registering six of Harvard’s nine points on three goals and three assists but the Wolverines took advantage of 21 Harvard ejections.

No. 20 Harvard women’s water polo played two matches Saturday, in Princeton’s Denunzio Pool. The Crimson opened the day with a match against Notre Dame College and returned to the pool to take on No. 16 Indiana.

No. 20 Harvard women's water polo is back in the pool after a three-week break with three matches at Princeton's Denunzio Pool. The Crimson opens the weekend, Saturday, April 11 at 12:30 p.m. against Notre Dame College and returns to the pool at 5:30 p.m. against No. 16 Indiana. Harvard wraps up the weekend with a match against No. 15 Michigan at 1 p.m.

Cleo Harrington Earns Rookie of the Week Nod
The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) announced its weekly awards Thursday, with Harvard's Cleo Harrington being named the Division I/II Rookie of the Week. This marks her first Rookie of the Week win but her second CWPA weekly award after sharing the Defensive Player of the Week award with senior teammate Ariel Dukes.

Harvard women’s water polo closed out its California road trip Sunday afternoon, against No. 19 Santa Clara, upsetting the ranked Broncos, 14-4. The Crimson dominated in both phases of the game, scoring at least three goals in each quarter and limiting Santa Clara to only one goal in each quarter.

Harvard women’s water polo took on No. 2 Stanford Friday night, falling 23-7. On a tough night for the Crimson, Yoshi Andersen scored two goals pushing her season total to a team-best 42.

Harvard women’s water polo faced off with Cal St. Monterey Bay Saturday afternoon, grinding out a hard fought, 7-4, victory. Ariel Dukes lead the way on defense, making six saves and registering a team-high three steals.

Women’s Water Polo Crushes Fresno Pacific, Nearly Upsets No. 11 UC Davis
Harvard women's water polo continued its California road trip with a a pair of games Monday against Fresno Pacific and No. 11 UC Davis. The Crimson opened its doubleheader against Fresno Pacific, taking down the Sunbirds, 13-5, before returning to the pool in the afternoon. Harvard pushed the highly ranked Aggies to double overtime, but eventually fell, 11-10.

Women’s Water Polo Returns Home to Host the Harvard Invite
Harvard women’s water polo is set for its only homestand of the season as hosts of the Harvard Invite March 7-8. The Crimson welcomes seven teams from around the country and will play four games over the two days. Harvard kicks the weekend off, Saturday, March 7 against Connecticut College at 9 a.m. and Marist at 6:45 p.m. The homestand comes to an end, Sunday, March 8 against No. 9 San Jose State at 8 a.m. and VMI at 2:15 p.m.

Blodgett Pool, home of Harvard men's and women's water polo and swimming and diving teams, is undergoing renovations this summer. Aside from regular upkeep, Blodgett is getting an overhaul of the entire pool shell.

Harvard Water Polo Welcomes Cassie Churnside as Assistant Coach
Harvard water polo coach Ted Minnis has announced the hiring of Cassie Churnside to the men’s and women’s coaching staff. Churnside comes to Harvard from the SET Water Polo Club in Irvine, Calif., where she was the head coach of SET 16U and the assistant coach of SET 18U.
