Women's Water Polo Tops Gannon, 10-5, to Run Win Streak to Five

ERIE, Pa. - For the second straight game, the Harvard women's water polo team pulled away in the fourth quarter to top Gannon, 10-5, and earn its fifth consecutive victory Sunday morning at the Carneval Athletic Pavilion.
Charlotte Hendrix led the offensive attack with four goals and an assist for Harvard (9-4). Yoshi Andersen found the back of the net twice and handed out one helper, while Shayna Price contributed two goals. Aisha Price had a single tally, and Victoria Frager handed out one assist.
After the opening eight minutes, Harvard held a narrow 3-2 lead. The Crimson doubled the advantage by the break, outscoring the Knights, 2-1, in the second.
In the third period, both teams scored just one goal to keep the Harvard advantage at two. The Crimson had four goals in the fourth while surrendering just one to make the final margin five to conclude the weekend a perfect 3-0.
Ariel Dukes made nine saves in net, and Andersen had three steals. Aisha Price, Hendrix and Molnar all added two thefts apiece to cap a weekend of strong defensive efforts by the Crimson.
