Aisha Price earned the third CWPA Southern Division Player of the Week nod of her career (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the second time this season and the third time in her career, senior co-captain Aisha Price has been named the Southern Division Player of the Week, the College Water Polo Association announced Wednesday.
Price finished the week with 12 goals, 11 assists and 16 steals to help the Crimson finish 2-2 at the CWPA/MAAC Crossover over the weekend. The senior co-captain also established a new career high in assists with six against Villanova and matched her previous personal best in steals with six against Iona Saturday.
In the weekend opener against Wagner, Price netted a hat trick and also contributed two assists and five steals. She followed up her performance with another three goals, one assist and six thefts against Iona. On Sunday, she served as the main distributor, handing out six assists, while scoring twice and securing another four takeaways in a 20-10 win over Villanova. The Hawaii native capped the weekend by contributing four goals, two assists and one steal in a 20-6 triumph against Siena.
On the year, Price has 28 goals, 22 assists and 25 steals for the 7-4 Crimson and also won the award Feb. 4.
Harvard heads to Erie, Pa., for three games this weekend against Mercyhurst, Bucknell and Gannon.
