Harvard Women's Water Polo Recognized for Top GPA in Division I

The Harvard women’s water polo team had 10 members recognized for their efforts in the classroom as they were honored with All-Academic Awards by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches last week.  As a team, the Crimson had the best GPA in NCAA Division I this spring.

The Crimson sported a 3.43 grade point average, which ranked first among Division I schools and third overall. Macalester College had the best GPA in the nation with a 3.52.

Kristina Bergquist earned “outstanding” honors as each maintained a GPA between 3.71 and 4.00.  Four Crimson student-athletes sported a GPA between 3.41 and 3.70, garnering “superior” status. Kelly Peeler, Elise Molnar, Ita Barton-Kettleborough, Shami Enterman and Patricia Smith all earned the distinction. Devan Kennifer, Aisha Price, Lizzie Abbott, Kathryn Bilder and Monica Zdrojeski were awarded the status “excellent” for maintaining a GPA between 3.20 and 3.40.
