Women's Water Polo Garners Three All-Northern Division Selections

Three members of the Harvard women's water polo team earned All-Northern Division honors. Two players were featured on the first team while one was selected to the second team. The announcement was made Friday evening at the Collegiate Water Polo Association Eastern Championship banquet.
Sophomores Devan Kennifer and Monica Zdrojewski were tabbed to the All-Northern Division first team. Kennifer, the 2009 CWPA Northern Division Rookie of the Year, claims her second-consecutive first team selection. The sophomore is the Crimson's leading scorer with 63 goals on the season. The Monterey, Calif., product has registered 13 hat tricks on the season. She has also been named the CWPA Northern Division Player of the Week on two occasions this season, March 8 and March 22.
Zdrojewski is second on the squad in scoring with 30 goals. The sophomore was an All-Northern Division second team selection after a strong freshman campaign. The Irvine, Calif., native garnered Northern Division Player of the Week honors April 19. Zdrojewski was honored after scoring a pair of goals, including the overtime game winner, in Harvard's opening conference win over Brown.
Freshman Elise Molnar was an All-Northern Division second team honoree. The rookie has tallied 22 goals this season for the Crimson. She was named the CWPA Northern Division Rookie of the Week once this season, Feb. 8. Molnar earned the recognition after burying nine markers in four games at the Harvard Invitational.
Harvard wrapped up the regular season with a 12-12 overall record and a 1-3 mark in the Northern Division. The Crimson also earned an at-large berth to the Eastern Championship.
