Women's Water Polo Adds Three Freshmen
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard
women’s water polo team, coming off a seventh-place finish at
the 2009 CWPA Eastern Championships, will welcome an incoming class
of three student-athletes, head coach Erik Farrar announced
Tuesday.
Two of the freshmen hail from California, while one is a native of
Hawaii. In addition to the newcomers, Harvard boasts a roster of 12
returning players and will be led by senior captains Kristina
Bergquist and Kelly Peeler.
Harvard finished the 2009 season with a 12-16 record and placed
third at the CWPA Northern Division Championships before picking up
its first win at the Eastern Championships since 2005.
