The Harvard women’s volleyball team took a set from South Carolina Saturday afternoon in their final match of the Mizuno Invitational II at Rice, but were unable to upset the SEC powerhouse. The Crimson fell 25-21, 21-25, 25-22, 25-12. Earlier in the day, the team lost to host Rice, 25-22, 25-21, 25-15.

Freshman Taylor Docter led three Crimson in double-digit kills as Harvard defeated Colgate, 3-2, Friday night in its season opener in front 505 rowdy fans. The Crimson won the final two sets to top the Raiders , 23-25, 25-18, 17-25, 25-23 and 15-13, and improve to 1-0 on the season.

April 9, 2009 Crimson In the Community: Volleyball Holds Clinic for Big Sisters of Boston
The Harvard women’s volleyball team recently hosted a clinic for both big and little sisters from the Big Sisters Organization of Boston. Players spent two hours instructing the pairs of sisters on basic volleyball skills such as passing, setting and hitting. The skills session was followed by a game of “Jungle Ball” where the teams tried to keep the ball rallying as long as possible.
