Women's Volleyball Falls in Straight Sets at Yale, 3-0
The Crimson moved to 1-1 in Ancient Eight play after suffering a straight-set loss at Yale (Gil Talbot).
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Harvard women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss at Yale Friday evening, suffering its first Ivy League loss by set scores of 25-17, 25, 15 and 25-18.
Erin Cooney, Caroline Walters and Grace Weghorst scored a match-high four kills for the Crimson (6-5, 1-1 Ivy League). Corinne Bain dished out eight assists and added eight digs while Natalie Doyle added seven digs. Walters also notched four total blocks, including two solo and two block assists.
Yale (8-3, 2-0 Ivy League) was led by Jesse Ebner and Mollie Rogers who totaled 11 kills apiece. Kendall Polan notched 27 assists and 12 digs for a double-double as Maddie Rudnick added 11 digs.
The Crimson will return to action tomorrow as they face Brown at 5 p.m.
