Wu was named to the Capitol One All-District Team for a second straight year (Gil Talbot).

CAMBRDIGE, Mass. – Senior Christine Wu has been named to the Capitol One Academic All-District Volleyball First Team for District I, as decided by the College of Sports Information Directors of America. This is the second-consecutive year that Wu has received this honor.

The senior from Naperville, Ill., has been one of the most prolific players in Harvard and Ivy League history. Wu most recently became the all-time leader in digs for the Crimson after a 28-dig performance against Columbia last weekend. She also moved into second-place in the Ivy League in the same category, amassing 1,801. Wu currently leads Harvard in digs with 483 and is ranked 17th in the country in digs per set. Wu is on pace to break her career-best mark of 491 digs set in 2009, with two games reaming in the season. The senior Libero has been a consistent honoree in the Ancient Eight after being named to the All-Ivy Second-Team in 2009 and named an All-Ivy Honorable Mention in both 2008 and 2010.

The 2011 Capital One Academic All-District Team award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. With this award Wu is now eligible to be a CoSIDA Academic All-American.
