Harvard Sweeps Brown for Fourth Win in Five Matches

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Junior Mikaelle Comrie
recorded 16 kills to lead the Harvard women’s volleyball team
to a 3-0 sweep of Brown Friday night to improve to 8-10 overall and
4-3 in Ivy League play. The Crimson won, 25-23, 25-17, 25-21, for
its fourth win in its last five matches.
Comrie had 16 kills on 24 swings with just two errors for a .412
clip. Sophomore Sandra Lynne Fryhofer had eight kills on 20 kills
and no errors for a .400 hitting percentage. Senior Lily Durwood
handed out 34 assists and sophomore Christine Wu recorded 17
digs.
The Crimson held the advantage in kills, 42-36, and blocks, 6-1,
while the Bears out dug the Crimson, 60-53.
Harvard travels to New Haven, Conn., to face Yale, who defeated
Dartmouth, 3-0, tonight at home.
