In his first season with Harvard, Jefferson guided the Crimson to an 11-7 overall record and 4-3 mark in Ivy League play. The team finished in third place of the Ancient Eight standings and boasted two all-conference performers. Hideko Tachibana was a unanimous choice for first team All-Ivy League singles, while Kristin Norton earned a spot on the singles second team. The two juniors also combined to earn second team All-Ivy League doubles honors.

During his time at Penn, he helped spark his squad’s resurgence as Penn doubled its win totals between the 2009-10 and 2010-11 campaigns.

Jefferson began his career as a volunteer assistant coach for the Duke women’s tennis team. During his tenure the Blue Devils won the 2009 ACC and NCAA Championships.

Jefferson, a 2003 graduate of Columbia, was a member of the men’s tennis team and helped the Lions to two Ivy League Championships. He graduated from New York University in 2008 with a M.S. in global affairs.
