SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Harvard women's tennis team (12-5) earned a 5-2 victory over UC Santa Barbara on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson clinched its eighth-consecutive win this season, the longest since the Crimson won eight straight in 2006 from April 7-26.

The Crimson saw outstanding performances up and down the lineup. Natasha Gonzalez and Irene Lu tallied their 10th win as a duo this season, downing Jaimee Gilberston and Natalie De Silveria, 7-5, in the second slot. Sabrina Xiong and Annika Ringblom earned a 7-6 win over Amanda Atanasson and Stephanie Yamada.

Erica Oosterhout continued on her five-match winning streak, battling with Palina Dubavets in the first position. The sophomore secured the first set, 6-1, but Dubavets caught up with a 1-6 win in the second set. Oosterhout and Dubavets battled to a 7-6 decision in the tie-breaker. Lee faced Gilbertsonin the second position, securing a 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 win.

Annika Ringblom clinched the tiebreaker win against De Silveria in the third position, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. Natasha Gonzalez rounded out the Crimson's win with a 7-6, 6-3 decision in the fifth slot.

Harvard will return home to face William & Mary on March 26 at 11:30 a.m. The dual will be featured on the Ivy League Digital Network.
