Women’s Tennis Pushes Past Boston College, 5-2

Oosterhout battled to three sets with No. 104 Asiya Dair, winning 6-4, 2-6, 12-10 (Gil Talbot).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's tennis team (1-4) earned a 5-2 victory over the Boston College Eagles on Saturday afternoon. 

The Crimson saw outstanding performances up and down the lineup. Erica Oosterhout and June Lee earned their third victory in doubles, clinching a 6-2 win over Lexi Borr and Dasha Possokhova.

Oosterhout continued on her streak, battling with No. 104 Asiya Dair in the first position. The sophomore secured the first set, 6-4, but Dair caught up with a 2-6 win in the second set. Oosterhout and Dair battled to a 12-10 decision in the tie-breaker. Lee faced Borr in the second position, securing a 6-4, 6-2 record.

Annika Ringblom earned a 6-0, 6-3 win against Emily Safron in the fourth position.  Irene Lu took the point in the fifth position with a 7-5, 6-0 victory over Elene Tsokilauri. Natasha Gonzalez rounded out the Crimson's win with a 6-1, 6-3 decision in the sixth slot.

Harvard will face Georgetown Sunday Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. and Rhode Island on Sunday Feb. 5 at 2 p.m.
