CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis heads to the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y., for the USTA BJK NTC Women's College Invitational Oct. 11-13.
Last Time Out
A quartet of Harvard women's tennis players made their All-American Championship debut Sept. 28-29 as two doubles teams competed in the pre-qualifying draw of the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Freshmen Spencer Liang and Monica Lin took the court together while classmate June Lee partnered with sophomore Amanda Lin.
The invitational will see players from 19 teams compete in eight singles draws of 16 players each and four doubles flights with 16 pairs. Harvard will be represented in the top seven singles draws by eight different competitors while six Crimson players comprise three doubles squads in the top three draws.

Last Time at the Invitational
In 2011, the Harvard women's tennis team combined for 11 wins and advanced to two flight semifinal matches at the USTA Billie Jean King Invitational.
All of Harvard's eight singles competitors sit among the four seeded players in each bracket. Freshmen June Lee, Spencer Liang and Monica Lin are ranked first in the C, B and A flights, respectively. Sophomore Amanda Lin and senior Hannah Morrill sit second in their draws while juniors Amy He and Sylvia Li are seeded third in their brackets. Rookie Danielle Mirda rounds out the Crimson as fourth in the G flight.
The Crimson will host the USTA/ITA in Cambridge Oct. 17-22.
